Tribute.

How time flies…. Nearly a year ago, Jocelyn, Joe and I met on a Sunday morning and traveled all the way to freakin changi airport to receive a certain faggot. A cab ride during which we covered 6900 friggin miles was next on the cards before we finally arrived at marina centre for lunch. Well that was the first step in which the faggot and I took towards a special friendship. However lunch was free after all so it wasn’t that bad a day. =/

The experiences -
Chiong!!!! Something we did like what. 2ice during the past 11 plus months? I’m sure la. All the times the techno was killa, the “cannot make it but think im the hottest thing ever hence im up on the podium tryin to gyrate myself into a guy’s wet dream when in actual fact they’re the reasons why you see so many guys puking outside clubs(they’re jus feigning drunk)” kinda girls, Jason managing to sleep in clubs, the cheering, hur hur, the cigarette game, the hotel stays after chiongin, the search in rain in the wee hours of the morning in town and countless other incidents, have all contributed to forming a path on my grey matter which will never be forgotten.

The man –
Charismatic, charming, humorous, down to earth, well liked, courteous. Ok now that I‘ve described myself, I can move on to talk bout THE man. From con camp in sec 3 to UCL law undergrad, certainly props must be given to yan. However it is not the intelligence yan exudes that endears him to his close friends, instead it is his oh so colourful personality that acts as the pivot. Overly charismatic? I fathom its more of a combination of charisma and a dominating nature. How bout the protectiveness of this guy, now that’s a double edged sword (Rosie). Certainly not forgetting the cartoon in yan, remember fruit bats hanging overhead at the night safari and sparklers during CNY?
Yan thinks that his character will invite trouble when he goes out to work. I say he will have no trouble getting outta it with some help from the brains department and not forgetting a lil touch of Machiavellianism. Of course it helps in your career should you have a law degree from UCL. The power a $300,000 piece of paper wields…. Oh oh oh and not forgetting the big guy from *Khong Guan.

The farewell –
Must admit that I wasn’t able to hang out as much as I had hoped close to your departure date and its something which I’m kinda regretful for. We didn’t manage to do all the things we had earmarked time for before your departure like karaoke and a guy’s night out decked out in our finest, heck even the farewell bbq was such a disappointment. Little wonder that I felt something was grossly incomplete the day of your departure and hence the lead up to a mono tear “outburst”.

The future –
You leaving for London doesn’t signify the end of a friendship, instead I prefer to look at it as the next step this friendship is going to take towards greater heights. Good luck over there and hopefully, first class honours, here comes the beng from sengapore! Ok, I’m gonna be realistic here, we’re not closing down Paragon in the future, I’ll be contented if I can even close down EconMini mart for a private shopping experience. Who am I kidding? Milan, New York, London, Shanghai, New Dehli, watch out, here we come.

What a year it has been eh. Had so many memories etched into my mind all cause a guy had so much time on his hands while waiting for uni to start. Wonder how different things will be had we not hung out so much, but still I’m ultimately grateful such an option wasn’t open to me. Please watch your spending over there and stay outta trouble. The “bah-gers” there have guns and Muslim extremists on their tails!!!!
